Hotel Es Port is firmly committed to the preservation and disclosure of local culture. Therefore, we offer more information about different associations dedicated to the care and disclosure of our rich culture.
Defensora Platform
The Defensora Theater was once the venue for all kinds of social and general events in Sóller. In 2023, the iconic building collapsed, prompting the creation of the platform, which is currently working to raise awareness of the project for a feasible renovation of the Defensora Theater in Soller.
The Defensora Platform has a constructive, not destructive, purpose, and its fundamental objective is to work for the protection of municipal heritage and to achieve a realistic renovation of the Defensora Theater.

Can Dulce Cultural Association
Can Dulce is a local cultural association responsible for organizing various cultural activities, especially those related to the study of popular culture in all its aspects, specifically within its scope. In connection with the above and the dissemination of popular culture, the following specific purposes and aspects are:
- Promotion of Mallorcan popular dance and music.
- Study, research, and learning of dance and music in different historical periods.
- Foster interest in and promote popular crafts in all their forms (embroidery, ceramics, weaving, tapestry, gastronomy, jewelry, etc.)
- Create a basic library for the association, as well as an archive that compiles topics and data related to the stated purposes.
- Promote and participate in all cultural activities and popular festivals organized in Sóller.
Other associations
In addition, the city council proposes other associations that have the same goal: to support, preserve, and promote local and popular culture.
ES REBOST
Would you like to donate to the local foundation Es Rebost? With your help, you could contribute to ensure that the entire local community has access to essential food.
Es Rebost is a project associated with the Social Action of Cáritas that aims to cover the basic needs of people or families in vulnerable situations in Sóller. Contact the hotel staff to make your help effective!
