June 29th is the day dedicated to St. Peter, patron saint of sailors and Saint Patron of Port Soller for its fishing tradition. One of the main events is the solemn Mass in honor of the Saint, which is held in the church of Sant Ramon de Penyafort. It is also worth seeing the procession that offer fishermen to the Saint, crossing the promenade and decorating their boats in celebration. The authorities and the Municipal Band of Soller complete the participation to this parade.

What represents? For the inhabitants of Port Soller is its most beloved and most intimate holiday. They are grateful to their Patron for their sailing dedication for so many years.
Moreover, during the days before the holiday, there are pétanque and football tournaments, cultural events such as exhibitions and musical performances (‘verbenas’) throughout the evening gatherings. All events are held, how could it be otherwise, near the sea.
One of the attractions introduced recently is the performance of the giants of Llucmajor and the organization of a medieval market very near the Hotel Es Port Soller.
